Choose a tool by the information you have
If you have individual course grades and credits, start with the college calculator. If your transcript already lists a GPA for each semester, use the cumulative planner. For high school classes with difficulty bonuses, choose the weighted or high school calculator.
Credits matter more than the number of classes
A 4-credit A contributes 16 quality points. A 2-credit B contributes 6. Together, that is 22 ÷ 6 = 3.667, not the simple average of 4.0 and 3.0.
What these tools cannot decide
Your institution decides whether repeated classes, transfer grades, withdrawals, and pass/fail results count. A numerical GPA does not establish admission eligibility, honors, or academic standing by itself.
